Behind this smile is a lie. Just a few days ago I spent time in an ambulance and in the ER. I’m smiling into the camera but just beyond the frame is an ice pack waiting for me. I’ve been suffering for four very long months with a herniated disc in my back sending awful pain down my legs all day and all night. I’m thankful to my partner and friends that saw past the smile and saw my pain and said let’s shut it all down. I’m stepping away from my tour to do what my book has asked everyone else to do. To see my own humanity and to be honest and vulnerable with you all. I’m stepping away to take care of the pain that is behind the mask. No more lies. Love y’all.*
