Before we get in to our tips for today, please consider joining us tomorrow at First Church of Jamaica Plain (UU Church) from 9am-noon for a tips workshop. Kimberlee will be presenting a number of tips for allies. There will also be a Q & A session-so bring all of your questions and come learn and grow with us!
Tips for accomplices: Do not mention your one black friend. Having a black friend does not automatically mean that you are an ally nor does it tell a person of color that you are a safe space.
Self-care tip for folks of color: Tend to your spiritual needs and nurture your spiritual soul. We all need spiritual care-whether it is in the form of church, meditation or the YMCA!
